The courtyard of the mosque includes two entrance gates and sixteen rooms for Students residence of the seminary. The prayer hall of the mosque with thirty five columns is located in south side of the courtyard. The history of the mosque perhaps backs to Safavid era according to documents and evidences which have been found among the inscriptions of this mosque. The carved texts on these inscriptions show 1106 and 1024 Hijri-Qamari as the date of constructing.
