The history of this mosque backs to Ilkhani era. The building of this mosque contains a columned prayer hall with forty pillars which are installed on thirty wide brick bases. Also it has minaret and balcony which its columns are made of wood. On the headline of the entrance gate, there is a stone inscription which this text is engraved on it:
((موفق به تعمیر هذالمسجد جامع الکبیر در ایام جلاله السلطان الاعظم الخاقان الاکرم مولی ملوک العرب والعجم سید السلاطین العالم السلطان بن السلطان والخاقان بن الخاقان السلطان شاه تهماسب بهادرخان خلدالله تعالی ملکه و سلطانه عمده الحاج و الاعیان زبده التجار فی الزمان بانی مبانی الخیرات صاحب الجود و البرکات حاجی بیرام بن آقا بابا الشبستری ))
