In building is located in west side of Tabriz bazaar. The mosque has a big columned prayer hall. Its arch coating contains eighty brick domes which are mounted on sixty three stone pillars. The surface of this mosque is about one meter lower than the bazaar surface.
According to Haj Abdollah Mojtahedi, one of Haj Mirza Bagher Mojtahed’s descendants, in earlier times there was a mosque exactly at this location which Haj Mirza Bagher extended it and the present mosque, in fact is constructed by him. That’s why the mosque is nominated as Mojtahed mosque….
