This mosque which is known as red mosque also was constructed by Bodagh-Al Sultan’s order who was the commander of Mahabad. Then Shah Soleiman Safavi commanded to build a seminary in east side of this mosque for religious students to learn Islamic science.
This is the oldest mosque in Mahabad with eighteen brick domes and a hall with eighteen stone columns which are exclusive in balance.
