This complex was built in 13th Hijri century and there is just a single remained inscription in this mosque that is carved in 1270 and probably this date is same as the age of the mosque. Local people call this mosque as Turkish or Azeri mosques also because the Azeri people of Tehran perform their religious ceremonies in this mosque. There is another big mosque in western side of this mosque which is built at the same time with this mosque. It s architecture style is four balconies within an elevated entrance gate, vast courtyard, rooms in two floors and tile work. The founder of the mosque was Sheikh Abdul Hussein Tehrani who was well known as Sheikh-ul- Aragh. That’s why the mosque has become famous as Sheikh Abdul Hussein Mosque.
